The Alliance of LA Playwrights chose Dyke-Doggie Patrol, my most recent 10-minute play, to be part of their 2022 Gay Pride Reading Festival in conjunction with the city of West Hollywood.

Handcrafted Healing
Build a new table to seat a family of ten? No problem. Navigate a life-threatening illness with the same precision and grace? The challenge of a lifetime. Master craftswoman Cam, and her partner Meredith, thread their way through bewildering treatments while grappling with the impact their choices have as they desperately hold on to their lives.
Community
Elliot is suffering the slings and arrows of an actor working in L.A. when he faces a critical choice: the lead in a community theatre play (and dealing with the wacky characters there) or a tiny part in a highly-respected Westside theatre (and dealing with the narcissistic nutjobs there). Set against the struggles of his personal life on the financial and the dating fronts, what Elliot really needs to do is knock off the complaining and learn to appreciate wherever he finds himself – even at a hair-raising and hilarious opening night.
Connectivity
On a remote South Pacific island, two strangers meet, I.T. tech / engineer Arnie and set decorator Annabelle. These two opposites don’t connect at all in their first chance encounter, but a serious accident forces them to deal with each other – and examine their history of relationships and how they want to connect going forward, whether it’s with each other or not. Added in to the mix: Nurse Penina at the island’s tiny hospital who offers insights to both but has her own connectivity issues as she finds that her marriage and life on this tiny island don’t offer all she dreams of.
